FreeHaas muting track

Hi,

I just received the registered FreeHaas.
I'm using your plugin in Nuendo4.
When opening a project, the track where FreeHaas is inserted is muted (no audio is passing).
I have to open the plugin and click on the arrows and then the plugin works.
This is a serious showstopper when mixing big projects and one forget to activate the plugin.
Can you check this out ?

Regards
Paul

Yes

I'm looking into it.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Testing

I have tried to reproduce the problem but Free Haas is behaving as expected in Nuendo 4 here. These are the steps I took:

- Create a new project (I called it vfxTest.npr)
- Click the "Project Menu" > "Add Track" > "Audio"
- Click "OK" to accept audio track defaults (won't ask this if your settings have it turned off)
- Drag an audio .wav file from Windows onto the created track
- Click "OK" to accept defaults (won't ask this if your settings have it turned off)
- Add Free Haas to an insert on the track
- Play the track to confirm it has the Free Haas "sound" applied to it
- Close the Free Haas effect gui
- Save vfxText.npr from the "File Menu" > "Save"
- Close Nuendo
- Click on vfxTest.npr in Windows (which launches Nuendo and loads the project)
- Press play
- At this point I hear the audio track with the Free Haas stereo effect active and working and I have not had to open the gui to get it going.

Can you try following these steps and see if you still have the problem? It might be something wrong in your project or application configuration. I'm also wondering if it would be worth asking about this on the Nuendo forums. Since the plugin has a freely available fully functioning version on my site it should be easy for other Nuendo users to test. I do want to help you solve the issue, so please do test the steps I have listed above and let me know.

Tested

I've tried out the plug as you suggested.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong ,but here we go:

-Created a stereotrack and inserted freeHaas.
-Imported a stereo wav file.
-Playback is fine.
-Saved ,closed and reopened.
-Audio is passing through.

Now this is how I want to use freeHaas :
-Created 2 mono tracks and inserted freeHaas in one track.
-Imported 2 guitartracks(Mic and DI)
-Inserted freeHaas in one of the tracks.
-Selected the arrow to the right.
-Playback is fine and I can do all I want with the effect.
-Saved,closed and reopened the project.
-No audio is passing on the track with freeHaas on it.
-Clicking on the arrow makes it work again.

Mono?

Are you trying to say it is only broken if you are using a mono track?

Yes,that's

Yes,that's right.

Still working on it

I'm still trying to track down this Nuendo thing. It's being made more difficult by the fact I don't have full-time access to a solid Nuendo testing box. I haven't forgotten about your problem though. I know you have a workaround, but it sounds like its a pretty painful workflow.
